For the past few years, I have been living with chronic pain. It has been a difficult journey, but through it all, I have learned an important lesson: the importance of trusting God, even when you can’t see the light.
Before my health struggles began, I was fiercely focused on my work success. I was taught to work hard, to strive for excellence, and to measure my worth by my achievements. While these are valuable qualities, my experience with chronic pain has shown me that there is so much more to life than success. Life is about relationships, faith, and finding joy in the everyday moments. Through this journey, God has shown me that our value and worth are not determined by what we achieve, but rather by who we are and who we are becoming. Sometimes, the most valuable lessons we can learn come not from success, but from struggle.
Trusting God blindly has allowed me to let go of the things that used to consume me and helped me to focus on what truly matters. It has allowed me to connect with others on a deeper level, to find beauty in unexpected places, and to see God’s hand at work in my life.
Through it all, I have learned that God’s plan is greater than my own. His plan is not always easy, but it is always good. Even when we can’t see the way ahead, we can trust that He will lead us through the darkness.
For those of you going through a difficult time, whether it’s chronic pain or something else entirely, I encourage you to lean into your faith. Trust God blindly, even when you can’t see the way ahead. Know that He has a plan for you, even if it’s not the one you would have chosen for yourself.
Trusting blindly may seem scary at first, but it’s a necessary step on the path to true peace and joy. More importantly, as I have learned, it can lead to a deeper understanding of God’s love and purpose for our lives.
