OUR ORIGIN

The creation of BUILD THE FAITH was inspired by the unwavering faith in God exhibited by Christina Dangond Lacouture, who was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer on December 12, 2012, at the tender age of 6. Throughout her arduous battle against cancer, Christina provided a remarkable testament to strength, courage, and an unshakeable belief in God. She demonstrated that it is indeed possible to navigate life’s most challenging circumstances with a radiant smile and profound trust in Jesus, consistently proclaiming, “Jesus, I trust in you.”

Initially, BUILD THE FAITH began by hosting weekly gatherings to recite the rosary, offering gratitude to God and the blessed Mother Mary for Christina’s life. Over time, the group evolved to craft rosaries and gather donations to support the construction of Catholic churches in economically disadvantaged areas or those in need of financial assistance. The faith and confidence in God flourish among the volunteers, ultimately inspiring Christina’s parents to establish our nonprofit organization in 2016, BUILD THE FAITH, in honor of Christina’s enduring faith.

We firmly believe that it is possible to confront life’s most challenging moments with the inner peace, love, and strength that stem from an unbreakable faith in God. In honor of Christina, we continue our charitable mission and dedication to loving our neighbors, as inspired by the teachings of Jesus Christ.
