Our Lady of Sorrows Rosary

This handmade wooden rosary is perfect for praying the Chaplet of the Seven Sorrows, which recalls the Sorrows the Virgin Mother of God endured throughout the life and death of her Divine Son. Though this devotion originated in the thirteenth century, it has gained new popularity following the Church-approved Marian apparitions in Kibeho, Rwanda in the 1980s.  In her apparitions, Our Lady asked that we pray this chaplet twice a week, on Tuesdays and Fridays.  This classically styled rosary is made of 10mm natural wooden beads that connect with 6 antiqued-silver and black 15mm x13mm double-sided hearts with spacers in brown.  The rosary centerpiece is of Our Lady holding Jesus in her arms.  Representing the Holy Trinity are three little bells which hang above the Medal of Our Lady of the Mystic Rose.
